Last night was the night! Brooks had been counting down the days, and yesterday we finally loaded up and headed to Raleigh for the LEGO ® KidsFest 2014. There were Legos galore, thousands, millions, billions of them! I could tell from my boys’ facial expressions that they were literally in shock at the number of Legos and the amazing exhibits built from them.
A friend who also attended said there was a massive amount of people at the door waiting to get in at 4:00. We got stuck in rush hour traffic on I-40 so we missed the very beginning, which worked out fine. Once we got there, the other children were spread all around the event, and our boys were able to see everything they wanted to.
Both of our boys had a blast, but I think they will have even more fun when they are a little older. The event coordinators did an excellent job of providing activities for kids of all ages. Brooks could have participated in the games and challenges, but I think he was a little intimated by some of the older children who were much taller and skilled with Legos.
Nevertheless, we had a wonderful time and would certainly go back. There are other LEGO ® KidsFest events around the country, if you are not from North Carolina. The schedule of events can be found here. Below are some photos of our fun evening.
In exchange for this review, I was provided with four complimentary tickets for our family. As always, opinions are 100% my own.

We went to the one in Hartfort, CT back in November and we all had a great time, too. How can you go wrong with Legos?

That definitely looks fun. I think I would enjoy going myself. I am sure when my son gets a little older he would love it.

My family would love to go to Lego Kids fest when it comes to Georgia in June. My husband is a big fan of Lego and has been since he was a kid, its what inspired him to become an architect. He has a few of the Lego architecture sets that he puts together with the kids.

I am sad that it doesn’t appear we have any of these around my area, but maybe I am looking in the wrong place. I think my kids would have a blast attending something like this. We love our Legos.
