Formally, I’m a blogger/freelance writer/social media consultant. Informally, I’m a procrastinator/coffee lover/amateur photographer/runner/world traveler (I wish). And most importantly, I’m a woman, a mom, and a believer.
Zealous Mom posts have been featured on Parenting Magazine’s website and Disney’s Spoonful website. I have also guest blogged for Mom it Forward, Go Grow Go , and If Only They’d Told Me.
As a writer, contributions include monthly columns/articles in WNC Parent, Asheville Citizen-Times, and The Mountaineer Newspaper. I work with a number of web design firms to write web copy, newsletters, blog posts and manage social media. One of my favorite gigs at the moment is my personal column in Smoky Mountain News.
I was honored to speak about freelance writing at the annual Type-A blog conference in Atlanta last year and guest appear on WSPA Your Carolina out of Greenville, SC. Most recently, I recorded a video piece for Today Parenting.

My family loves to hike, dine outside, and trot the globe (as much as we can with two little ones). I love being a mom and am interested in all things parent-related.
