Pumpkin Almond Detox Smoothie

I absolutely love the flavor of pumpkin and can’t go a day without eating almonds, so I found a way to include both in this delicious smoothie recipe. This recipe is full of fiber and nutrients and will help your body detox. This is also a smoothie for any season. While fresh pumpkin would be better in the fall, you can use canned pumpkin any time during the year. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do!

Ingredients:

1 Chiquita banana

2 tablespoons pumpkin puree

1 teaspoon ground pecans (grind in coffee grinder)

1/2 cup original almond milk

1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt (optional; if you don’t use yogurt, use 1 cup of almond milk)

2-3 ice cubes

Put everything into a blender and blend. Or use an immersion blender. Whichever you prefer! Yep, it’s that easy. And so delicious.

I love bananas, but they give me the worst heartburn for some reason, so I eat them in moderation these days. Which is sad because they are my favorite fruit.

I love bananas but cant say I have ever cooked with them. I blend them in smoothies, eat them right out of the peel, or freeze them and make them into ice cream.
