5 Thoughts from the Week
1. I think my six-year old may be a ladies man. He loves the girls. His teacher told me last week that he and a little girl were smooching in the cafeteria line. Just a small peck, but still! Then yesterday, he was snuggling another little girl-friend during car line. He said she was cold. And so it begins.
2. We had two really nice days this week, and the sun did wonders for my soul. I love and miss you, sun. I like when it’s cold during the holidays, and then I’m over it. I’m ready for spring.
3. I’m reading The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. The author took a year to strategically and wholeheartedly work on being happier. I’m not too far into it, but it’s a great read. One thing she suggests is to “act the way you want to feel.” I love that advice. If you want to have more energy, act like you do.
4. One of my very closest friends is getting married in South Florida at the end of February, and I cannot wait to see her. She and I went to graduate school together. We were inseparable during that time. We’ve kept in touch very well throughout the years, but I haven’t seen her in person, in almost six years. I am so ready to see her beautiful face in the flesh.
5. We have had a full week of birthday festivities for the boys. It’s been really fun and sweet to watch them take it all in. It’s taken some work and quite a chunk of change to make it through the week, but those two little boys are worth every penny and every second of time. I still can’t believe they are 6 and 3. Time, please slow down.
5 Photos from the Week

Brooks whacking his birthday pinata during his classroom bathroom party with Daddy trying not to get hit.

One of Case’s favorite birthday gifts, his Michelangelo chest and mask. I’m loving this Ninja Turtle phase.

A double decker bus in downtown Asheville that houses a coffee shop. Mommy needed a mocha after the boys got some ice cream. Love that I live in a place where this exists.

Family photo during Case’s classroom birthday party. He was so excited that we were all there. #three
Hope you had a great week. Enjoy your weekend. See you soon!
I love that I live in a place where a coffee bus sits downtown too :p
Wow they get fun classroom birthday parties with a piñata! Our kid school just sings them happy birthday, they get to wear a crown for the day and bring in a treat.
Sounds like you had better watch your six-year-old closely with the ladies, too funny! Thanks for linking up!
I love that double decker bus! I don’t drink coffee, but I’m sure I could find something on the menu. Add a good book, and I could probably sit there for hours. Love all your photos. Cherish ages 3 and 6. It goes fast!
That coffee shop is awesome!! My brother and I went through the first Ninja Turtle phase, it is so neat to see it coming back.
