Yesterday we celebrated Brooks’s 6th birthday, and today we celebrate Case’s 3rd birthday. It’s crazy that their birthdays are one day apart, but it’s also really fun. My sister and I had birthdays four days apart, and we loved growing up sharing birthdays and parties. In fact, we love it to this day. I hope our boys grow up feeling the same.
It’s hard to believe our sweet little Case is already three. I still remember going into labor at school while teaching and barely making it into the hospital room before my water broke. It was seriously like a scene in a movie. There was no time for meds or anything, but all of that pain was so completely worth it.
Case is our little silly goose. He’s smart and witty and loves to tease everyone.Case is all boy. He loves Ninja Turtles, sports, superheroes, any type of ball and being wild. Unlike his big brother, he’s very selfish with his affection and kisses, except for with Mommy, so of course I love that. I know I won’t always be his preferred person (or maybe I will!) so I’m soaking it up. His smile melts my heart daily, and I’m completely obsessed with him. We’re so proud to call him ours.
It was really hard to narrow it down to the two things to share during his second year of life. But two things really stick out in my mind. They are:
1. An explosion of vocabulary development.
2. A complete and utter obsession with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Other: First movie, first time bowling, continued in preschool, letter recognition, number recognition, learned all shapes and colors.
Below are some pictures from Case’s year. Happy birthday, little monkey!
What a sweet boy! You guys must have some epic birthday parties!
They are starting to feel that way!
Love my other sweet birthday boy sooooo much too even though I don’t get nearly as many kisses and hugs from him.
So true, but he loves you very much!!
